I Know Who You Are, and Saw What You Did

“For God is not unjust so as to overlook your work and the love you have demonstrated for his name by having served and continuing to serve the holy ones. We earnestly desire each of you to demonstrate the same eagerness for the fulfillment of hope until the end, so that you may not become sluggish, but imitators of those who, through faith and patience, are inheriting the promises.”

A recent professional football running back received a significant award for his record-breaking season. The recognition came with its share of acclaim, an extra headline or two, and a bonus his agent had written into his recent contract. It was the product of hard work and years of dedication. It was also the product of a veteran team and an outstanding offensive line. To the player’s credit, he acknowledged their work on his behalf. “Couldn’t have done it without them,” he told a reporter, shortly after he presented them with new sound systems for each of their homes in gratitude.
